Ward Information

For purposes of representation on Council, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is divided into six Wards. Through the municipal election process, Members of Council are elected to Whitchurch-Stouffville Town Council to represent each of the six Wards. Councillor Kroon represents Ward 3 for the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. Ward 3 boundaries are as follows:

  • North - Vandorf Sideroad from Highway 404 to Highway 48
  • East - Highway 48 from Vandorf Sideroad to 1 lot north of 19th Avenue
  • South - 1 lot north of 19th Avenue from Highway 48 to Highway 404
  • West - Highway 404, north of 19th Avenue to Vandorf Sideroad

About Hugo Kroon

Hugo has been a resident of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville for more than twenty-five years. He lives in the Hamlet of Bethesda with his wife Linda, who is the office Administrator for Stouffville Christian School. Together they have three daughters. The oldest, Erica-Lynn resides in Moorefeild Ontario with her husband and son. The other two, Kyla and Krista continue to live at home. 

Hugo has been involved in the Landscape Maintenance and Construction industry his entire professional career, with experience in owning and managing a successful sole proprietorship firm, as well as working for some of Canada's largest service providers in managerial and supervisory roles.

Hugo also manages one of Ontario's largest privately held land trusts whose mandate is to help preserve vital natural resources for generations to come. He is also keenly aware and supportive of the necessity to ensure the longevity and viability our local agricultural community, heritage and environmental resources, as he comes from a long and storied history of farming families.

Hugo is a avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying both hunting and fishing. He is an enthusiastic student of military and political history. As well, Hugo finds time to restore and recreate antique furniture, work on old cars and trucks, compete in automobile racing and be involved in recreational shooting sports.
