About Mayor Altmann
A lifelong resident of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Mayor Justin Altmann is an established entrepreneur having operated a financially successful home-grown business for the past 16 years, Altmann Farm Market.
Mayor Altmann is a proven leader with extensive experience in retail sales marketing, office administration and customer service. As a result of his business acumen, he was awarded the Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce's Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2012.
Mayor Altmann's family roots in Whitchurch-Stouffville run deep. His family farm "Yarrow Manor" was owned by his Great Aunt Grace Foote, one of Whitchurch-Stouffville's founding teachers, she played on the grand piano for the opening ceremonies of the clock tower.
He previously served as a Constituency Assistant to former MPP Peter Shurman for the Provincial Riding of Thornhill.
Mayor Altmann has an Associate Diploma of Agriculture from the University of Guelph.
