The idea for the museum began in 1969 as a community-based project brought forward by local residents with a passion for Canadian history and a love for the Town. Since 1971, the site has grown from the original museum building, the Bogarttown School House (built in 1857), and now includes:

  • A historic barn and outhouse
  • A log cabin (circa 1850)
  • A modern facility added in 2012
  • A Victorian-era farmhouse (circa 1860)
  • The Vandorf Public School (1870)
