BOOK A FIRE STATION TOUR |
Would you like to come and tour the fire station with your group or organization? Booking a tour at the fire station is easy. All you have to do is complete the Station Tour Request Form. Along with a tour of the fire trucks the staff provide fire safety activities such as
If you do not have a group but would like to see the fire station yourself or with family/friends, you can drop by the fire station between 9am-4pm and a tour of the fire trucks can be arranged for you. |

SMOKE ALARM INFORMATION |
It's the law to have working smoke alarms on every level of your home and outside sleeping areas. Not sure if you are in compliance? Contact the Fire Prevention Division at (905) 640-9595 to arrange a home inspection! You can also review the Smoke Alarm Information Sheet for more information.
Maintenance: Smoke alarms expire every 7-10 years. Refer to the "Replace By" date on the side of your smoke alarm or the manufacturers date on the back to indicate the expiry date of your alarms. Smoke alarms should be tested to ensure they will work when you need them. Replace batteries at least once a year, or whenever the low battery warning sounds. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for installing, testing, and maintaining smoke alarms. |
CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) ALARM INFORMATION |
Carbon monoxide is what many call the silent killer. You can't see it, smell it, or taste it which is part of what makes it so dangerous. The only way to protect you and your family is by installing carbon monoxide alarms. Carbon monoxide alarm should be tested monthly and batteries replaced at least once a year, or whenever the low battery warning sounds. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for installing, testing, and maintaining carbon monoxide alarms.
