Landscaping and Trees
Approval must be obtained before starting any alterations to the Town's boulevards. Homeowners thinking about doing work must obtain an encroachment permit. This includes any landscaping work or storage of landscaping materials or bins on Town boulevards or roadways.
The Town takes great care in providing maintenance operations, however, are not responsible for damage that may occur to items placed on Town property (known as encroachments) such as watering systems, interlocking brick work, concrete and wood curbs, etc.
The Town, at its discretion, may request the removal of these encroachments.
If you would like a tree planted on the Town owned boulevard or a Town owned tree requires trimming or is dead, please contact the Customer Service Centre at the Municipal Offices.
