Temporary Sign Permit
Businesses that would like to have a temporary sign to promote a new business or a special event, may do so by submitting a Temporary Sign Permit Application 1 to 2 business days before the proposed start date.
Signs cannot be erected before the permit has been issued.

- Complete the Temporary Sign Permit Application
- If you are not the owner of the property where the temporary sign is to be placed, obtain a Letter of Permission from the owner saying that you may place a sign on their property for the specified time
- Forward the completed Temporary Sign Permit Application and Letter of Permission (if applicable) to the By-law Department. You can fax the application to 905-640-7957 or drop it off at our Customer Service Centre.
We will call when your permit is approved and ready for pick up. Payment is due when you pick the permit up from our Customer Service Centre. If you have any questions, call our Customer Service Centre

Temporary Election Signs - Provincial and Federal Elections
Election Signs relating to a federal or provincial election shall not be erected or displayed until the day that the writ of election is issued. In order to prepare for the placement of Election Signs, the Candidate or his or her agent may make the required deposit with the Town at any time prior to the issuance of the writ of election.
- Complete the Temporary Election Signs Application Form
- Forward the completed Temporary Election Signs Application Form to our Customer Service Centre, with the required deposit.
