Poundkeepers
MANDATE
In accordance with the applicable legislation, the Poundkeeper shall:
- Immediately investigate and cause to be impounded any large animals and farm livestock, other than dogs, found being at large or trespassing on public or private property or public road allowance; and
- Cause such animals to be sold if they are not claimed in accordance with the Pounds Act, or if the damages, fines and expenses are not paid according to law.
COMPOSITION
One (1) member of the public.
FREQUENCY OF INVESTIGATIONS
Investigations as required.
REMUNERATION
$75.00 per investigation, plus mileage pursuant to Town policy.
