Temporary Lane Closure - Woodbine Ave. between Hunter Road and Slaters Road

Please be advised of a temporary southbound lane closure on Woodbine Avenue between Hunter Road and Slaters Road on Wednesday October 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The temporary closure is required to accommodate the delivery and installation of a retired Canadian Forces Leopard 1 C2 Tank at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum and Vandorf Community Park.

This unique addition will serve as a permanent monument honouring the service and contributions of Canadian Armed Forces members.

Impact to Residents

  • Temporary southbound lane closure on Woodbine Avenue between Hunters Road and Slaters Road, starting at 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Temporary closure of the walkway and northern bridge leading to the Museum.
  • Traffic delays may be experienced during the delivery and installation period.
  • Residents are encouraged to allow extra travel time and follow all posted traffic control signage.

Dedication & Unveiling Ceremony

The public is invited to the Dedication & Unveiling Ceremony for the retired Canadian Forces Leopard 1 C2 Tank on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10 a.m.
