Flags Lowered at Town Facilities Recognizing the Passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair
The Town of Stouffville has lowered flags at Town facilities to honour the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair, C.C., O.M., M.S.C., until sunset on November 10, 2024.
Stouffville Holiday Market Returns November 29th & 30th
Mark your calendars for the return of the Stouffville Holiday Market taking place November 29th and 30th in Downtown Stouffville. This free event will feature a local artisan vendor marketplace, live musical performances by Ryland James and Taylor's Story, magical lighting displays, food trucks, horse-drawn wagon rides, roaming holiday characters and the big, jolly man himself, Santa Claus.
Stouffville to Brighten up Main Street this Fall
The Town of Stouffville is pleased to announce that its Cultural Hub project was selected for the My Main Street Community Activator initiative, and has received support to bring more vibrancy to Stouffville’s community spaces by creating a Cultural Hub in the heart of downtown Stouffville. This investment in art, culture, and beautification will not only enrich daily life in Stouffville but also attract visitors, support local businesses, and foster a stronger sense of community pride.
Stouffville Cemetery Clean Up
To ensure that the Stouffville Cemetery remains in a safe and accessible condition for you and your family to have a respectful place to grieve and reflect, the Town periodically removes memorials, plants, shrubs, and trees that are in contravention of the Town’s Cemetery By-law 2012-059-RE.
Halloween in Civic Square Promises to be a Spook-tacular Family Event
Get ready for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration in Civic Square on Saturday, October 26th from 11 AM – 3 PM! The festivities will carry on - rain or shine! Extra activities will also be hosted inside 19 on the Park to ensure the fun never stops.
Notice: Dog Park Closure
Rougeview Leash Free Dog Park will be closed on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 for routine maintenance. The park will reopen at 4 PM on October 18, ready for dogs and their owners to enjoy once again. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Flags at half-mast in honour of Sharon Norton
Today, Friday, September 27, flags are being flown at half-mast at Town Hall and the Leisure Centre as we honour Sharon Louis Norton (Ranson), who sadly passed away on September 10. Sharon dedicated 28 years as a school crossing guard.
Fire & Emergency Services to Conduct Tanker Shuttle Evolutions Training
Stouffville Fire & Emergency Services will be undertaking a critical training exercise on Thursday September 12, performing tanker shuttle evolutions. The exercise will be conducted between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Labour Day Holiday Hours 2024
Town facilities will have modified hours over the Labour Day Holiday. This includes Town Hall, Leisure Centre, WS Public Library, Arenas, 19 On The Park, Museum, and 55+ Club. Please note that the pool and gymnasium will be closed for annual maintenance
