Public Meeting: Fill Management Plan 14204 York-Durham Line, Concession 9, Lot 15

Staff from the Town’s Engineering Division are facilitating a Public Meeting in lieu of a Public Information Centre to meet engagement requirements as required by the Towns Site Alteration By-law 2019-068-RE on Wednesday March 29th, 2023, for the owner (Lafarge Canada) of the subject property. The session will be convened from 7 pm to 9 pm. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Offices, located at 111 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville.

Trail Marker Unveiling At Museum Postponed due to Weather

The Town of Stouffville and the York Region Arts Council has made the decision to postpone Saturday, March 4th's Trail Marker Unveiling at the Museum due to weather concerns. An updated date will be posted when available.  This event will showcase the next installment of The YR Experience Trail Marker Project, “Blue Jay” or the “Diindiisi” in the Anishinaabe language, will be unveiled at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre/Vandorf Community Park in the coming weeks. 

Council Approves 2023 Operating and Capital Budgets

Town Council approved Whitchurch-Stouffville’s first service-based budget on Wednesday, March 1. This multi-year budget includes the approval of the 2023 Operating Budget, totaling $67,443,950 and the Capital Budget of $26,776,000. Additionally, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s Council approved a grant of $2,795,220 for the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library and Latcham Art Centre.

Trail Marker To Be Unveiled At Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum And Vandorf Park

The Town of Stouffville and the York Region Arts Council are excited to announce the next installment of The YR Experience Trail Marker Project. The newest addition to the Experience Trail, “Blue Jay” or the “Diindiisi” in the Anishinaabe language, will be unveiled at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre/Vandorf Community Park at 11am on Saturday, March 4, 2023.  Meet the artist, learn about the project, and enjoy light refreshments from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
