Flags at Half-Mast in Honour of Paramedic Sufyan Ismail Ahmed

The flags at Town Hall and Fire Station 5-1 have been lowered to half-mast in memory of Paramedic Sufyan Ismail Ahmed, whose sudden and unexpected passing has deeply saddened the York Region community.

Sufyan joined York Region Paramedic Services in 2024 and was a respected advocate for equity and inclusion through his involvement with the Black Collective. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all those affected by this loss as we honour his service and contributions to the community.
