Notice of Adoption: By-Law 2023-001-OP - Old Elm (Formerly Lincolnville) GO Station Study Area

This Notice is to advise you that in accordance with Section 17(23) of the Planning Act 1990, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville at its meeting on February 1st, 2023 has made the decision to:

PASS BY-LAW 2023-001-OP
Official Plan Amendment 155 (File No. OPA22.003) for the Old Elm (Formerly Lincolnville) GO Station Study Area, Community of Stouffville, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

EXPLANATION OF THE PURPOSE & EFFECT OF BY-LAW 2023-001-OP
The purpose of Amendment No. 155 to the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville Official Plan is to establish land use designations and general policies that will guide development for the Old Elm Study Area, including the Old Elm Major Transit Station Area. Attached is a map of the Official Plan Amendment area (see page 2).

All written and oral submissions received by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville were considered in the making of this decision.

The approval authority for Official Plan Amendment 155 is York Region. Should you wish to receive a copy of York Region’s decision you will be required to write to York Region Community Planning and Development Services Staff at DevelopmentServices@york.ca and request a copy of the Notice of Decision.

Filing of the Appeal
The details for filing an appeal will be set out in the decision rendered by York Region.
