Notice of GO Transit Service Changes – Stouffville Line

Effective: July 4 to 6, 2025

Please be advised that Metrolinx will be implementing temporary service changes on the Stouffville line from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6, 2025, to support construction work on the East Harbour Transit Hub. Details are outlined below.

Friday, July 4 – Late-Night Service Adjustments

  • 10:00 p.m. Departure from Union Station

This train has been extended to make additional stops at Stouffville GO and Old Elm GO. Customers continuing their journey to Uxbridge may connect to the 70D GO bus at Mount Joy GO.

  • 12:01 a.m. Departure from Union Station

This train will be replaced by GO bus route 71.

Please note that there will be no GO Transit service to Kennedy, Agincourt, and Milliken GO stations. Alternate travel options via the TTC are recommended.

Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 – GO Bus Replacement Service

GO buses will replace trains on the Stouffville line between Union Station Bus Terminal and Unionville GO. Buses will make all station stops between Unionville and Old Elm GO.

There will be no GO Transit service at the following stations on these dates:

  • Milliken GO
  • Agincourt GO
  • Kennedy GO

TTC service is available as an alternative for passengers travelling to or from these stations.

Transfer Times for Connecting GO Bus Services

Southbound (at Mount Joy GO):

  • Passengers transferring from GO bus route 70 to replacement GO bus trips will experience a connection time of 14 to 19 minutes, which is up to four minutes longer than usual.

Northbound:

  • At Old Elm GO: Passengers transferring from replacement GO bus trips to GO bus route 70 will experience a 10 to 16-minute connection time (up to eight minutes longer than usual).
  • At Mount Joy GO: Passengers transferring from replacement GO bus trips to GO bus route 70 will experience a 9 to 14-minute connection time (up to six minutes longer than usual).

TTC Travel Alternatives

Travelling to Union Station:

  • From Milliken GO:

Take TTC Route 53A west to Finch Station. Transfer to TTC Line 1 southbound to Union Station.

  • From Agincourt GO:

Take TTC Route 57 south to Kennedy Station. Transfer to Line 2 westbound, exit at Bloor-Yonge Station, then transfer to Line 1 southbound to Union Station.

  • From Kennedy GO:

Take TTC Line 2 westbound to Bloor-Yonge Station, then transfer to Line 1 southbound to Union Station.

Travelling from Union Station:

  • To Milliken GO:

Take Line 1 northbound to Finch Station. Transfer to TTC Route 53A east.

  • To Agincourt GO:

Take Line 1 northbound to Bloor-Yonge Station. Transfer to Line 2 eastbound to Kennedy Station. From there, take Route 57 north to Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road.

  • To Kennedy GO:

Take Line 1 northbound to Bloor-Yonge Station. Transfer to Line 2 eastbound to Kennedy Station.

Resumption of Regular Service

Regular GO train service on the Stouffville line will resume on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Passengers are encouraged to check schedules before travelling.

These service adjustments are part of the GO Expansion program, which aims to transform the GO rail network into a more frequent, two-way, all-day rapid transit service. The current work supports infrastructure improvements, including the installation of a second track and corridor upgrades, to enable future service expansion.
