Notice of Temporary Road Closure - McCowan Road

Update regarding the resurfacing project on McCowan Road in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Description:

• Paving operations
• A temporary road closure is required to complete this work

Duration (10 days):

• Monday, August 24 to Friday, September 4, 2026

Impacts to travellers:

• McCowan Road, from Stouffville Road to Bethesda Sideroad, will be closed at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026 to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026 to complete paving
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained

As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather or to accommodate other work underway in the area. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.
