Town of Stouffville Invites Public Input on 2026 Accessibility Plan
The Town of Stouffville is inviting residents, employees, and community stakeholders to take part in shaping a more accessible community through the development of its 2026 Accessibility Plan. As part of this work, the Town and Stouffville Library are conducting an Accessibility Audit that includes public input on current progress, challenges, and barriers to accessibility.
Community members, including people with disabilities, caregivers, seniors, and advocates, are encouraged to share their experiences through a survey. The survey can be completed online, and paper copies are also available at the following locations beginning Tuesday, January 20:
- Leisure Centre
- Town Hall Customer Service
- Stouffville 55+ Club
The feedback collected will help guide improvements to programs, services, facilities, and communications across the Town and Library.
Residents are encouraged to take part in our online survey and join conversations with our team at the following information sessions:
- Ballantrae Community Centre – Tuesday, January 27 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Stouffville Leisure Centre – Wednesday, January 28 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Stouffville 55+ Club – Friday, January 30 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Accessibility Audit and 2026 Accessibility Plan support the Town’s commitment to transparency, inclusion, and continuous improvement in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Public input will play a key role in identifying what is working well, where gaps exist, and what actions should be prioritized moving forward.
The Accessibility Plan survey is open until February 6.
