Stouffville Declares a Significant Weather Event
Event declared due to a snowfall warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, commencing at 9:45 a.m. on January 15th, 2026. All transportation routes such as roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and lane ways, may require additional time to clear. Residents are asked to use caution when travelling and allow extra time for winter maintenance operations.

Town of Stouffville Remembers Community Leader and Former Councillor Cliff Dunkeld
Flags will be lowered to half-mast at all Town facilities in recognition of the passing of former Town Councillor Cliff Dunkeld. Flags will be at half-mast until Monday, January 12.
Recycling Changes for 2026: What You Need to Know
Recycling is switching to bi-weekly cart collection starting January 5. The last small blue bin pickup is December 22, with no collection the week of December 29. A one-time overflow pickup will happen in the first week of January, and old blue bins will be collected during the week of February 2. Plus, the 2026 collection calendar is now live!
Town Offers Worry-free Parking This Holiday Season
The Town of Stouffville is once again offering worry-free holiday parking by lifting winter on-street overnight parking restrictions from December 22 to January 2 inclusive. During this period, residents and visitors will not need permits to park overnight on Town streets.
