Notice of Intent to Designate 16776 Woodbine Ave – Pleasantview House
The Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville passed By-law 2025-085-DS to designate the following property as a property of cultural heritage value or interest pursuant to the provisions of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter O.18, Part IV, Section 29.
Notice of Intention to Designate a Property of Cultural Heritage Value
The Council of the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville intends to designate 16776 Woodbine Avenue, in the community of Pleasantville, under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, as being a property of cultural heritage value.
Stouffville Concludes Automated Speed Enforcement Camera Program On November 14
The Town of Stouffville’s automated speed enforcement (ASE) camera system will cease tracking new violations as of Friday, November 14. This action follows recent provincial legislative changes that will lead to the removal of ASE across Ontario.
Stouffville and York Region Break Ground on New Fire & Emergency Station in Ballantrae
The Town of Stouffville and The Regional Municipality of York officially broke ground today on a new joint Fire and Paramedic Response Station at 4902 Aurora Road in Ballantrae. The new Fire Station 5-2 and Paramedic Services Station 20 represents a collaborative investment between the Town and York Region to enhance emergency response services in Stouffville’s growing northern area. The 18,500-square-foot facility will include three fire bays and two ambulance bays, supporting 24/7 operations for both Fire and Paramedic Services.
Stouffville Appoints Resident Brian Mangubat As Town Crier
The Town of Stouffville is proud to announce the official appointment of its new Town Crier, Brian Mangubat, the first to hold the role since 2016. The return of the Town Crier pays homage to Marcel Bossi, who unofficially began appearing at events in 1989 and was formally appointed in 1990. He served until his passing in 2016 and was beloved for his charismatic presence at both local and Toronto-area events.
Tennis & Pickleball Courts Closure
Due to recent low temperatures and rain, all tennis and pickleball courts will be closed for the season starting the week of November 10th.

Asphalt Work at Library Lane and 6240 Main Street
As part of ongoing downtown improvements, Library Lane and sections of the 6240 Main Street front parking lot will undergo asphalt work to support the creation of new parking spaces and the future urban plaza.
