Upcoming Water Swabbing Program: Important Water Usage Advisory - October 5-7, 2025

The Town of Stouffville Environmental Services Department, with the help of the Ontario Clean Water Agency, will be conducting a Watermain Swabbing program in the Sunnyridge Park neighbourhood between Tenth Line and York Durham Line for two consecutive nights on Sunday October 5, 2025, from the hours of 9:00 PM until 5:30 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Affected homes have been notified. 

Notice of Public Hearing: Application for Minor Variance (5832 Main Street and 446 Service Road)

The Town will be holding a public hearing at Town Hall regarding an application for a minor variance at 5832 Main Street and 446 Service Road (CON 8 PT LOT 1) on October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The application requests relief from the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law to permit a reduced number of parking spaces, with 45 spaces proposed instead of the required 75, and a reduced landscape strip of 2.5 metres between the street and parking areas, whereas the by-law requires 4.5 metres.

Notice of Public Hearing: Application for Minor Variance (33 Lloyd Street)

The Town will be holding a public hearing at Town Hall regarding an application for a minor variance at 33 Lloyd Street (PLAN 3268 PT LOTS 38 AND 39) on October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The application requests relief from the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law to permit a reduced interior side yard setback of 0.61 metres for an accessory structure (previously approved setback was 1.2 metres), an increased maximum lot coverage of 5.8% for an accessory structure (by-law permits 5%), and an increased overall lot coverage of 40.8% (by-law permits 35%).
