Fast Track Building Permit Program Returns for Summer 2025
Are you planning a small home renovation project this summer? The Town of Stouffville’s Fast Track Building Permit Program is back and ready to help you get started—faster.
Running from May 15 to July 15, 2025, the Fast Track Program offers expedited building permit reviews and approvals for eligible small residential projects. This includes:
- Decks and porches
- Small accessory structures like gazebos and storage sheds
- Basement entrances (not serving a second suite)
- Pool enclosure permits
To qualify, projects must be pre-screened to ensure they are not subject to additional approvals under the Ontario Building Code. Any required approvals from agencies such as Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA), or the Committee of Adjustment (COFA) must be finalized before applying.
By participating in the Fast Track Program, homeowners can avoid delays and get their projects off the ground quickly and hassle-free.
