December 29 Power Outage at some Town facilitites

December 29, 2025

An area-wide power outage in Stouffville is currently impacting some Town facilities The outage has been reported to Hydro One, and a crew has been dispatched. At this time, there is no estimated restoration time, as conditions in the area are still being assessed following recent weather. As a result, some programs and services at these locations may be temporarily disrupted. Any affected programs or scheduled groups will be contacted directly.

December 28 - Freezing Rain Significant Weather Event

December 28, 2025

The Town of Stouffville declares a significant weather event due to a Freezing Rain Warning issued by Environment Canada, commencing at 1:40 pm on December 28th , 2025, pursuant to O.Reg 239. All transportation routes such as roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and lane ways may require additional time to clear. 

Notice of Complete Application and Public Meeting ZBA25.013

December 22, 2025

The Town has received a Complete Application for Zoning By-law Amendment for the subject property. The Town is holding a Statutory Public Meeting to consider the proposed zoning amendments to permit an industrial development on the subject lands.

Notice: Revised Cemetery By-Law

December 16, 2025

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville intends to submit a revised Cemetery By-law to the Registrar of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002. Any interested parties may contact the Clerk’s Department at 905-640-1900 or email Clerks@townofws.ca for information. The By-law may be reviewed or copied at 111 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville.

2025 Winter Holiday Hours

December 10, 2025

Town facilities will have modified hours over the Winter Holiday. This includes Town Hall, Leisure Centre, WS Public Library, Arenas, 19 On The Park, Museum, and 55+ Club. Please note that the pool and gymnasium will be closed for annual maintenance
