Ballantrae Sidewalk Construction
Phase 1 – Aurora Road (north side), from McMullen Drive to Ballantrae Gates Plaza
The Town has awarded the tender for construction of a sidewalk along Aurora Road (north side), from McMullen Drive to Ballantrae Gates Plaza to Quality Property Services (QPS). The work includes:
- Clearing and grubbing along the sidewalk alignment;
- Installation of 2.0m wide asphalt sidewalk;
- Line painting and tactile plate installation; and
- Drainage culvert and grading works.
Work will begin once weather conditions allow.
WSP Canada Inc. has been retained to provide full time site inspection services during construction.
Any planned disruptions to driveway access or Town services will be communicated in advance. Please label your trash and recycling containers as the Contractor may be required to move these containers once work is underway. The Town is not responsible for damage or loss to privately-owned appurtenances located within the public road right-of-way. Please ensure that any such appurtenances are removed prior to construction.
What's Next?
Project was substantially completed. Warranty is in effect until June 2027.
Phase 2 – Highway 48 (east side), from Ballantrae Gates Plaza to Ballantrae Common
The Town has retained the services of WSP Canada Inc. to complete the investigation and design for this portion of the sidewalk works.
