A new park has enhanced the community experience at 401 Baker Hill Boulevard in Stouffville, forming an integral part of a subdivision development. Spanning 12,106.96 m2 (1.2 ha), the park is situated to the east of Baker Hill Boulevard and Brownsberger Road within Ward 4. This Council-approved initiative was spearheaded by Northern Lights Landscape Architects, with the Town overseeing the entire design process.
The development of the park's design was a collaborative effort involving consultations with the community to ensure a successful outcome that aligns with the evolving needs of the residents. Throughout the design development process, careful consideration was given to the budget, site limitations, and operational requirements.
Features of the park include both junior and senior play sites with accessible features, a full basketball court/ seasonal outdoor rink, tennis court, four pickleball courts, seating areas, shade structure, pathways, and new plantings.
The project timeline was as follows:
This initiative reflects our commitment to creating a recreational space that meets and exceeds our vibrant community's expectations.
We appreciate the valuable feedback shared by residents during the public meeting on January 25th, 2024. Your input helped shape the final design, which is now available.
Thank you for being part of this process—we value your voice in shaping our community!
