Road Closures

Occasionally highways, roads and neighborhood streets are closed for events, construction or other reasons.  Notices of these closures will be posted on this page.

Roads can be closed by either Stouffville, York Region or the Province of Ontario.

Construction without closures

September 14: Park Drive closed between Burkholder and north entrance of Leisure Centre

Park Drive road will be closed from 12 PM to 4 PM between Burkholder and the north entrance of the Leisure Centre on September 14 for the Terry Fox run.

August 12: 19th Avenue to Elgin Mills Road East Closure

 York Durham Line from north of 19th Avenue to Elgin Mills Road East will be closed at 7 AM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

May 2 - September 26: Burkholder Street Weekend Closure

Beginning on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 Burkholder Street between Park Drive and the Leisure Centre Driveway (2 Park Dr) will be closed every weekend. The closure will be in effect every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to Monday at 8:00 a.m. (Tuesday of a long weekend). This closure has been approved under By-Law 2023-055-RD and will be in place until Monday, September 29th.
