Street Closures
Occasionally highways, roads and neighborhood streets are closed for events, construction or other reasons. Notices of these closures will be posted on this page.
Roads can be closed by either Stouffville, York Region or the Province of Ontario.
May 3 - September 30: Burkholder Street
Burkholder Street, between Park Drive and Franklin Street will be closed every weekend. The closure will be in effect every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to Monday 8 a.m. (Tuesday of a long weekend).
July 19 - July 29: Woodbine Avenue - York Region
York Region will be doing construction on Woodbine Avenue north of St. John's Sideroad to replace a culvert July through August. Construction will take place Monday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane closures will be required. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
Closure July 19 - July 29
Woodbine Avenue from St. John’s Sideroad to Vivian Road will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, July 19 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 29 to replace the culvert. Traffic will not be able to travel through the work zone during the road closure. Local traffic is permitted; however, those with properties to the north of the culvert can only access Woodbine Avenue from Vivian Road and those to the south, only from St. John’s Sideroad

Burkholder Street, between Park Drive and Franklin Street will be closed every weekend. The closure will be in effect every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to Monday 8 a.m. (Tuesday of a long weekend).
July 26 - 27: Burkholder Street
Burkholder Street, from Park Drive to Franklin Street will be closed Friday, July 26, 4 p.m. through Saturday, July 27, 12 a.m. for Movies in the Park.
Burkholder Street, between Park Drive and Franklin Street will be closed every weekend. The closure will be in effect every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to Monday 8 a.m. (Tuesday of a long weekend).
August 8 - 11: Burkholder Street
Burkholder Street, from Park Drive to Franklin Street will be closed Thursday, August 8, 8 a.m. through Monday, August 12, 12 p.m. for Stouffville Ribfest.
Burkholder Street, between Park Drive and Franklin Street will be closed every weekend. The closure will be in effect every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to Monday 8 a.m. (Tuesday of a long weekend).
August 16 - 17: Burkholder Street
Burkholder Street, from Park Drive to Franklin Street will be closed Friday, August 16, 4 p.m. through Saturday, August 17, 12 a.m. for Movies in the Park.
