Pool Enclosure Permit

If you are installing a pool or hot tub on your property in the Town of Stouffville, there needs to be a fence enclosing it from neighbouring properties. You must apply for a pool enclosure permit to build a fence around your pool.

Apply for a permit

To apply for a pool enclosure permit, please submit the following forms and plans through the Permit Portal or by email.

Plans

You need to include the following plans in your application package:

  • A site plan prepared using a current survey
  • Details of the proposed fence, including height, type of material and location
  • Gate location and details
  • Location of septic system (if applicable)
  • Setbacks from pool equipment to the property line

Permit cost

$255 CDN
  • If your property has on-site sewage service, there is an additional fee of $185

We accept cash, cheque or debit for fee payments.
