Sign Permits

You need a permit to install permanent signs in the Town of Stouffville such as:

  • Development signs
  • Ground signs
  • Hoarding signs
  • Projecting signs
  • Wall signs

To apply for a sign permit, please submit the following forms and plans through the Permit Portal or by email.

Plans

You need to include the following plans in your application package:

  • A site plan identifying the location of the sign
  • Sign drawings, including sign dimensions, wording of the sign face, structural details and support structure and foundation details

Permit cost: permanent signs

$32 CDN
  • per square metre of sign face
  • Note: a minimum permit fee of $215 applies

We accept cash, cheque or debit for fee payments.
