The Town of Stouffville provides curbside collection for household waste, including:

• Garbage, recycling and compost
• Bulk items including appliances and furniture
• Christmas trees
• Yard waste

The 2026 waste collection calendar is mailed to all residential households within Stouffville in December. Please keep it in a handy place for easy reference throughout the year. 

If you do not receive a calendar by January, please contact us and we will send one to you.

Collection Schedule

Curbside waste collection occurs from Tuesday to Friday, depending on your address. Refer to the 2026 calendar to confirm your collection day and to learn when to place various types of waste at the curb.

All materials must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

• Green bin (organics) is collected weekly

• Garbage is collected every other week

• Yard waste is collected every other week from April to November

Christmas Tree Collection

Natural Christmas trees will be collected during a designated week in January. Please refer to the calendar or visit our Christmas Tree Disposal page for preparation instructions and collection dates.
