Community allotment gardens

Our Greenwood Park Community Allotment Garden is a piece of land gardened or cultivated by a group of people individually or collectively. Normally in community gardens, the land is divided into individual plots. Each individual gardener is responsible for their own plot and the yielding or the production of which belongs to the individual. In 2014, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville established a community garden on public land, where residents can grow fruits, fine herbs, flowers, but mainly vegetables.

Raised accessible garden plots are available. All plots are first come, first served and are released on first right of refusal.

Please contact leisure.services@townofws.ca or by phone 905-640-6250 for further details.
