June is Recreation and Parks Month Logo

June is Recreation and Parks Month (J.R.P.M.), is an annual community mobilization movement that takes place in parks, schools, recreation centres and neighbourhoods all across Ontario.

By celebrating J.R.P.M., the Town of Stouffville aims to promote healthy and active living for all residents and increase awareness of the value and important benefits that recreation and parks provide to individuals, families and communities.

Spray Pad season is here!

Cool off at one of our interactive spray pads! Open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM.

Locations: Byer’s Park, Coultice Park, Gar Lehman Park, Greenwood Park, Madori Park, Sunnyridge Park and Wheler’s Mill Park.

Swim safely this Recreation and Parks Month! 

From June 16 to 22, enjoy $5 family swims at the Leisure Centre! Plus, learn water-smart tips to stay safe in and around the water this summer. Learn more at townofws.ca/swimming

 

Visit the new Community Medicine Garden! 

Built in partnership with the Odeiwin Foundation, this garden blends indigenous knowledge with local community spirit to grow traditional healing plants and deepen our connection to the land. Located along the trail at the Jean-Baptiste Laine Site (south of Lost Pond Cres.) is a space to grow, learn and reflect this Recreation and Parks Month. Learn more at townofws.ca/gardenproject
